N.O.A.C Toronto Branch Scholarship Fund is an independent not for profit organization that was created as a subset of the Naval Association of Canada (NAC) formerly called the N.O.A.C. Toronto Branch. We provide scholarships and awards for those eligible in activities related to the profession of the sea, and who are interested in attending post secondary education, as well as continuing in a Naval career!
Our mission is to raise, manage and distribute funds to eligible nominees approved through an arms length selection committee from an approved nominating organization. Approved funds are distributed as Scholarships (multi-term) up to four consecutive years or annual awards.

The organization is governed by volunteers, four directors and four officers (President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Chair of the investment committee) and meet periodically.
The founding chairman was Captain Tim Turner, Past President of the Toronto Branch and become the founding president of the N.O.A.C. Toronto Branch Scholarship Fund. We continue to receive donations from N.O.A.C. members, Shellback’s Club (Toronto) and individuals.
An independent Selection Committee reviews all applications and selects the eligible winners.
